Found along an unassuming street just before the historical town of Carrapateira, Casa Presente Guesthouse is located within the Costa Vicentina nature reserve. Casa Presente is a beautiful and tranquil sanctuary space for individuals, couples, and families looking to experience a rejuvenating personal retreat or a spacious family holiday.

Casa Presente is also the ideal location for small groups on meditation, yoga, healing or creative retreats and a perfect place to celebrate family reunions and larger family celebrations. In total the guesthouse sleeps 10 adults and the cafe/community space has a fully equipped kitchen, bathroom, dining area. Please email us directly if you are interested in renting out the entire space.

Guest Rooms

An ecological building of clay and wood with 3 double rooms and 1 family room that host up to 10 guests.
The thick walls keep away the warmth of hot days in summer and the cold in winter. The high, sloping wooden ceilings have good thermal insulation and lend a warm, welcoming aspect to the interiors.

Casa Presente’s morning bistro is seasonally open to the public, from June-September between 9:00AM and 12:30PM, and serves delicious local biological whole foods for breakfast.

During the rest of the year, this space is exclusively available to guests.

Location

Nestled within the Algarve region, on the edge of the Sudoeste Alentejano and Costa Vicentina Natural Park, our guesthouse sits among the dunes of Bordeira Beach—just 300 meters from the shore and 1 kilometer from the charming village of Carrapateira.

The Land

This is truly the other side of the Algarve, far from the madding crowds and rowdy tourists. At Casa Presente, peace prevails in a landscape rich in flora and fauna.

It is located 5 minutes walk from the fantastic Bordeira beach and surrounded by beautiful unspoiled nature. Its location is ideal for relaxation and rest. The owner, Carlin, very friendly and efficient, takes care of all the details and that everything is perfect.

I very much appreciated the Portuguese charm, the ability to walk right into town for a coffee or lunch, and the proximity to the long and sandy beach, a playground, as well as the dramatic coastal cliffs. Incredible place to recharge, contemplate, cycle, windsurf, etc. If you're looking for nice vegan/vegetarian restaurants, commerce and night life, the trendy village of Aljezur is only a 20 minute drive away.

This is a really special place to stay. Beautifully quiet, with a pleasant garden area, nice rooms and in a lovely location. Carrapteira is in a beautiful area of the coast. Very close to the coast and an interesting wetland area, and is close enough to Carrapteira town. The breakfast provided is really nice, with lots of choice, and lovely fruit and yoghurt.
